Easter 2011

Easter is always such a special day as we remember our Saviour Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.  Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace for us.

We had a very fun day, decorating eggs, going to church, finding eggs and getting our yearly picture taken.  Thanks to Bob they turned out well.

Pine Wood Derby Race

We had a fun time making cars for the AWANA Pine Wood Derby race.  It was a family project.  Trey's is red and Nicole's is pink.  Trey got 3rd place for speed in his division.  Both Trey and Dad were really proud.

Spring Break at Mahoney State Park

Spring Break at Mahoney State Park

We had a great time again at the cabin near Omaha.  We did LOTS of fun things this time.  It is so fun to have a family tradition.  We've done this for the past 4 years and it is so fun.  We rent a cabin for 3 nights and spend time as a family seeing the sights around Omaha and sleeping in our cabin.  We usually make smores in the fire place and play games at night.  We take a little hike usually and do lots of other fun things.  This year we went to the Durham museum.  It was fascinating. It used to be the old train depot in Omaha.  We went to the zoo and also the activity center at the park.

It is such a great break from the norm.  We love getting away!
